Opening hours monuments of the Imperial Palace as well as visitor centre and museum near the Imperial Palace

Summer (April - October):
     Tue. - Thu. 10 am - 05 pm
     Fr. - Sun. & public holidays 10 am - 06 pm
Winter (November - March):
     Tue. - Sun. & public holidays 10 am - 04 pm

The exterior monuments of the Imperial Palace are also open on Mondays
(Apr-Oct until 05 pm, Nov-March until 04 pm).

The Saalkirche is open on Sundays from 11.30 am. From November to March, the key for your visit to the Saalkirche is available at the visitor centre and museum near the Imperial Palace.

Accessibility

The area of the Imperial Palace and most of the monuments zones offer disabled access. The visitor centre and museum near the Imperial Palace also offers barrier-free access.

Gastronomy

From 12.8. to 21.10., the exhibition "Mensch! Skulptur", organized by Boehringer Ingelheim in the Kunstforum Ingelheim - Altes Rathaus (opposite the visitor centre and museum), runs a museum coffee bar. During opening hours, hot drinks are available in a small café area in the visitor centre and museum near the Imperial Palace.

Playground

A children's playground with a watercourse (summer) and a variety of playground equipment is situated on the outside of the semi-circular building, more precisely on the street "Auf dem Graben".

Public lavatories

Public lavatories are available in the visitor centre and museum near the Imperial Palace as well as at the car park of the Imperial Palace (Sebastian - Münster-Straße / Nathalie-von-Harder-Straße).

Journey

By car:
Motorway A 60, motorway exit Ingelheim Ost. Starting at the entrance to Ingelheim Ost, please follow the brown signs "Kaiserpfalz".
At the destination, visitors will find sufficient free parking space in two locations.
By public transport:
The walking distance between the Ingelheim railway station and the area of the Imperial Palace is about 25 minutes. After leaving the station, please follow the Bahnhofstraße for about 200 meters up to the intersection of Bahnhofstraße - Binger Straße. Then turn left and walk along the Binger Straße. You can also take a regular bus connection – the city bus 611 and the ORN bus line take you in about 9 minutes time from the railway station to the bus stop of Francois-Lachenal-Platz, near the Imperial Palace.
By bike or on foot:
It is an excellent idea to combine your visit to the Imperial Palace Ingelheim with a cycling trip or hiking tour. Several itineraries, such as the Kaiserpfalz hiking trail, lead to the Imperial Palace Ingelheim and to the tourist attractions.
